An intriguing story.

Mixing your music on the kind of devices your target audience owns sends a clear message that you know them.

I'm just concerned that if we don't strive for a better quality sound (because our audience doesn't have the luxury of having it), how can we progress towards all these new things that are coming out: 3D music, ear bone headphones, focused speakers, etc.?

If we always have to adjust to our audience, we can't innovate as much as we'd like.
