Excellent tips. I would say that the second one instead of selling yourself is building a rapport. You're not promoting yourself but trying to focus the attention on the customer rather than on the product/service. If you would've been selling yourself it would be annoying. But anyway, I get your point.

When it comes to being genuine about what you're selling sometimes you don't like what you sell. For instance, when you're forced to do a job you don't really enjoy but you don't have an alternative in that moment. What would be your take on it? How to manage being genuine in that situation? It's tough, right?

One more thing I could add is that people were already in a good mood and approachable in the sense that they were in a festival and having a good time. Their base mood when you got to them was already good so it's easier to sell someone filled with positive emotions. Context is very important.
