I don't understand. The same author (and year) that you said earlier that music promotes cognitive performance is used here to disprove it?

It would be great to embed a link to these studies so we can go directly and see those studies. Just a suggestion ;) I know you've put them as references (I've done that too) but it can be helpful to have the opportunity to go directly to the study when you get to that reading part. Or well, as in musical preferences, others like to have studies referenced at the end.

You can't please everybody, I know.

I agree that music is a great tool to help us in many domains: cognitive enhancement, emotional regulation, etc.

I think we should all practice an instrument during our childhood even if we don't become musicians afterward. There's so much evidence that by engaging yourself with music more actively (vs passive listening) can enhance your brain's development in many areas.
