I enjoy reading about your journey. Oh, it sucks that in the end, they pulled out, but as you say, you've proven that social proof works.

Now, I see social proof as a foot on the door. You might get people interested but if they read the script and it sucked, well, that's the end of it. So you get the chance with the social proof and now you have to deliver. You get the initial attention, but now it's up to the quality you've provided to keep the attention from the other party.
