I get your point. You want an analysis based on pure musical features (tempo, mode, volume, etc.). It would be an interesting approach and from what I’ve read there are some mixed results. For instance, we tend to think of minor keys as sad music, but we don’t always feel that emotion. Maybe we interpret it as sad, but we don’t feel it. Plus, minor/major keys is a western concept. Indian music has a totally different idea of it.
It’s a fascinating world and I’ll have to keep digging, but for now, I thought of showing about this other facet of music.
Aren’t songs music too? Or are you thinking about the term “song” as a poem?
It’s not the same to recite a poem as telling it through a music genre. Words are felt differently, and there’s a lot of subconscious processing of the whole music experience that isn’t filtered by our logical reasoning.
