For instance, some studies point out that people in adolescence tend to listen to more rock, metal, and music that has a loud sound and uses heavy distortion. It reflects the rebellious nature of people in this age group.

So when the marketing team wants to hook a certain age group, in this case, SEGA appealing to teenagers, they might've thought of using certain genres in their soundtracks to get their audience hooked to their games even more.
