I totally agree with you. Radio waves are like trying to put a cassette in a smart speaker, the old stuff hoping it will fit in the new.

And perhaps if ET evolve too much, even if they could communicate through radio waves, they'd not be willing to use it. Why try to talk to a monkey? It can be fun the first 5-10 minutes but then there's nothing much to do.
