I'm not sure intellect is enough though. If intellect is the faculty of reason, understanding, and awareness, you can still act differently from what you were made aware of. Intellect is the logical part of our being, but what about emotional intelligence? I might be aware of the right thing to do, but is intellect enough to pursue that path? I'm not sure that if we disregard the emotional part we'll be able to find peace and happiness. Well, at least how intellect is defined by the article you link it from to define it.
An interesting article. I might just add that emotional upgrade as a complement to the intellect logical decision-maker part of ourselves.
