Interesting intersection between marketing and psychology! I guess we're more prone to be influenced when we go by these heuristics. We're less aware of how we act since they tend to be automatic and unconscious, and so there's no second-guessing our decisions.

For some purchases this is okay, but we shouldn't always be so malleable by others.
