It's an interesting debate, where lies the balance between being in the moment and having a device as an intermediary between you and the experience?

I agree! there's an element of communication and eagerness to share the experience with others who are not there with you. But some abuse this and prioritize the validation or capturing of these moments that they fail to actually immerse themselves in the experience. Yes, they share it with others, but a shared moment on IG disconnects you from the people who are actually there with you.

I'd prefer my own lens (eye, body, and mind) than the smartphone lens takes you away from the here and now. Of course, I'm not saying you shouldn't record anything, just not make it the whole or a big part of the experience.
