It's an unusual approach but I find it very interesting. This might work maybe during your second day when people can associate your name with your face and have a first feeling of you as a person apart from where you come from.

Then, these slides can help further learn about you since it might be self-imposing as a first encounter (from my point of view).

Nonetheless, it's a very good idea!
