It's sad to see how we're fed a lie to make us feel better but in the end, it's just hiding the problem until it's too late.

But at least there's some hope. Countries are banning single-use plastic, others are voraciously importing organic waste (Sweden: https://rioonwatch.org/?p=54109) because they can't get enough of it at home, and there're new solutions to reduce plastic waste significantly (e.g. bags that dissolve in water: https://english.elpais.com/elpais/2018/08/01/inenglish/1533122791_820772.html ) so there's still something to be done!
