Just by taking out your instrument each day and playing a single note, you're already making the most important action in the practice sequence. Once you have that first note, why not another one, and then why not practice a piece? And so on, and before you know it, you've done your work for the day.

We just need that first impulse and inertia kicks in to keep us going.
