Maybe there's a middle ground somewhere?

Music and science can work side by side, without taking music's magic out of the equation. Sometimes when I find a research paper that explains some aspect of music by talking about the brain I get a feeling of wonder and say to myself "wow, this is what music is capable of!"

I hope there's a way for these two fields to come together in a way that doesn't diminish any of them, but rather enhances both in the process.
