Of course, cryptocurrencies are not the sole solution and there’s not one single factor that can tackle the complexity of poverty.
They don’t have to be miners to benefit from crypto. You can stake, lend, etc. and get a much higher % for it than what any bank can give you. Opening an account is much easier than having a bank account, and the fees to buying tokens are significantly lower than buying stocks. It doesn’t need to be large purchases, we’re still very early to the world of crypto.
I’m thinking about going beyond fiat currency, in the sense that you don’t even have to convert it to the national currency: transfer crypto, pay others, pay bills, etc. Of course, that entails a whole ecosystem that accepts that form of payment, but that will increase with time.
We’ll have to see how things evolve over the next months and years. Only time will tell.
