I'm not sure I would go to an interview with my book but I get the point. The only thing I might think differently is writing about something business-related and getting hired for a manager position because of it.

True, you get a lot of points for having your own book and it may give you more credibility, but it should be considered just as a boost, not the main reason for getting hired. But again, there's the halo effect that will certainly benefit us.

I'm just concerned that those skills don't actually transfer to job skills (writing a book about managing your team vs the experience of managing a team).
