Very insightful article. There's so much greed, competitiveness, and issues in the music industry that I'm just baffled by it.

I like how many new labels are rising to compete with the big three and as any other business, it's not good to have so few competitors in the marketplace.

It would be great if you could write an article looking at the movie/game soundtrack industry and look at what's happening there. Maybe there are a lot of similarities with bands and music artists, except they don't usually have the luxury of doing tours (which is where most of the income comes at least for the mainstream artists).
