Very interesting. Any excess throws us out of our balance and has a negative impact on our overall well being. I like the Buddhist approach: be serene and know that everything will pass. What we call positive and negative events come and go, nothing remains. So we shouldn't attach ourselves to any of those feelings. Just experience them and then, let them go.

I'm very fond of positive psychology. Thanks for sharing about it. It looks like Nikki had the perfect words to change his dad's approach to life and career.
