We often forget the human part in all this process. Both the one trying to sell and the one listening to it can get caught up in an interaction that is far from any connection between two people. It doesn't have to be a deep, meaningful, and life-changing connection, but just a nice conversation.
There's the saying that it takes two to make a relationship work. So it's like a dance that if both aren't synched, it won't flow. And this can apply to all communications we have in life.
