Yes, sound logos are here to stay! Today's content is expected to be as short as possible (5-second ads, TikTok/IG short format videos, more TV shows rather than long movies, etc.) so sound logos fit perfectly into this new paradigm.
I haven't heard from other people using audio logos other than Gary as you mentioned, but we should be associating ourselves with a certain sound sequence (if we want to promote ourselves out there).
